Punjab’s nine examination boards have recently implemented a fee hike for the upcoming annual examinations, including those for matric students.
A recent notification issued by the examination boards revealed that the matric exam fee has witnessed a significant increase, rising from Rs550 to Rs700.
This adjustment comes alongside additional supplementary charges, encompassing contributions to the development, scholarship, and sports funds. Moreover, an augmented processing fee for the admission form has also been introduced.
As per the updated guidelines, students must make additional financial contributions, including Rs200 towards the development fund, Rs80 for the scholarship fund, Rs100 for the sports fee, and Rs530 for the processing fee. These supplementary charges are in addition to the initial exam fee.
Additionally, the admission form fee has been revised to Rs100, as indicated in the notification.
