The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) recently reached out to the provinces, asking them to nominate the universities responsible for admissions and provide a list of cities where this year’s Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) will take place.

After a meeting held on June 4, the PMDC decided to conduct MDCAT-2023 on August 27 at a national level, making use of the admitting universities in the public sector of each province. They want to make sure everything runs smoothly, which is why they’ve requested the nominations.
Now, here’s the plan: The PMDC will open the registration portal for MDCAT-2023 in the first week of July, and you’ll have 15 days to register. By getting the nominations from the provinces, the universities can get their act together and prepare the question paper, arrange venues, and appoint staff on time.
In case you’re wondering, the PMDC has decided to stick with last year’s MDCAT syllabus, and they’ve already uploaded it on their website. Just keep in mind that the federal government still needs to form a new board, but we’ll keep you updated on that.
