Each committee member has officially accepted their appointment, and the terms of reference have been meticulously defined to ensure a thorough and impartial inquiry into the alleged harassment incidents. The committee is vested with the responsibility of gathering information from various credible sources, including print, electronic, and social media, through extensive investigations.

One of the primary objectives of the committee is to evaluate the implementation of the HEC’s policy on sexual harassment within higher education institutions. Any administrative lapses found to have contributed to the harassment cases will be addressed, and appropriate corrective and disciplinary measures will be recommended.

To ensure a comprehensive investigation, the HEC has called upon all higher education institutions to fully cooperate with the committee and provide detailed reports within a reasonable timeframe of 21 days. This collective effort will aid in unearthing the truth and fostering a safer and more secure environment for students and faculty members alike.
